Do You Need Florida Boating Education?
Anyone born on or after January 1, 1988, must complete a Florida Boating Safety Course to operate a 10+ HP boat. The course covers laws, navigation, and safety. After passing, you receive a required Boating Safety ID Card. Courses are available online or in-person, some free but with possible certification fees.
